The 4th European Mosquito Control Association Workshop will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, at the Congress Center of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague - Suchdol
The Meeting will take palce
from the 11th to the 14th of September 2007.

The 4th European Mosquito Control Association Workshop will be organized by the the National Institute of Public Health, Prague and the Czech University of Agriculture.
The objctives of the workshop are to gather specialists from different countries involved in mosquito (and black fly) control, to exchange experience and ideas.
In planned symposia a range of the currently most important topics of mosquito control and related subjects, such as the use of GIS/GPS and remote sensing in mosquito control programmes, action plans against mosquitoes in specific ecosystems, application techniques – tools and products available, needed, missing, etc., will be discussed in plenary sessions.

Black Fly Working Group

The 2nd International Simuliidae Symposium, was held in Novi Sad, Serbia and Montenegro, from the 3rd to the 6th of September 2006, in the organization of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad.

The main objective of the event was to gather scientists from different countries involved in black flies studies, exchange of experience and ideas. The invitation was directed to the members of the existing European groups of simulidologists (British Simuliid Group, Central European Simuliid Group, and European Mosquito Control Association – Black Fly Working Group), the North American Black Fly Association and to anyone interested or involved in black fly studies.
